Spier semaphores

Post by Chris Janisch »

On Thursday 7 January, a Metro set is seen rushing towards Stellenboch in the late afternoon. The location is the western end of Lynedoch station, near the Spier estate.
Lynedoch is non-operational now although semaphores still exist. It was manned(womanned) by a rather unfriendly local, who was there just as a presence it seems, and not working the signals. The next station, Vlottenberg, was in operation.
