Metros near Lynedoch station

Post by Aidan McCarthy »

Hi,

The Stellenbosch loop section is still all signalled with semaphores and controlled by Van Schoor token machines. Even though only metros use this line it gives you feel of the old SAR operating with the ding-ding of the Van Schoor machine bell announcing the train and then the clank of the semaphore signals as they are set for the train and the TCO exchanging tokens with the driver.
