Renewed studs on the dome for the safety valves. The rear studs were badly worn and thus new ones were machined. This was a time consuming task performed by John Dadford.

At last the cab interior is complete. Robert Dadford fitted the guage column cocks after removing the blanks from the hydraulic test. John Dadford, Spikkels and Nathan fitted the firehole doors.
