Trainman's past steam in Zambia

Photos of motive and rolling stock, stations, signals and anything else train related in Zimbabwe and Zambia! Photos should be 800x600 pixels, maximum size 130K. Very good ones will be moved to the Online Gallery, the rest will be pruned away after 14 days to conserve space.

On the first cross border steam safari in 1991, the Trans Limpopo, the tour group were able to cross from Zimbabwe into Zambia where this runpast was arranged near the Livingston depot. Viewed from the top of the defunct coal stage, we see the NRZ museum class 20 number 730 passing one of the many dumped class 20 locomotives that ended up in Zambia after independence. Photographers this day were not allowed to venture to the main shed, nor take any further photographs of the installations. Only on subsequent safaris were shed visits allowed. This is 1991
