1. Introduction - background.

Now here is something interesting - an actual build of an HO Model Railway, where you can follow the progress here, or in person if you live on the Reef!
THEME
The theme is a European HO layout, multi level.
AIM
The idea is to construct a working layout, with good operational possibilities. The route needs to be capable of both continuous operations (for display purposes) as well as being entertaining operationally if someone is going to run trains.
The layout also has another purpose - to enable customers at the Model Train Exchange to be able to test trains, as well as provide an area to test stock that has been repaired, tuned etc for customers. Despite this it is not a commercial build - but rather a private build by a group of individuals.
The cast includes for the moment Paul (railway tycoon, expert and owner), Eric (business tycoon, expert, erudite conversationalist), Jorg (skilled labour), yours truely (more skilled labour), Nial (intellectual input and supervision). Other cast members will be introduced as they come and go!
The layout is open to the public, so if you find the progress reports of interest, you can always pop in to see the layout in the flesh so to speak! Otherwise just follow progress here!
HOW WE ARE GOING TO HANDLE INFORMATION ON THE BUILD
As the build progresses, photos will be posted along with relevant information. You watch, and if you have any questions ask!
