N Scale SAR

Ok, so the time has come to put a plan of action in place. These are some of my thoughts on developing SAR in N scale:

1. Kato running gear.
2. 1:160 and not TT

I could easily do a full Trans Karoo set including a couple of 5E's

Your thoughts?
1. Do you think Kato is a good way forward?
2. What ...

As Douglas Adams said in the Hitchhikers Guide To the Galaxy: Don't Panic

It is astounding that people are unable to handle such a silly situation, what would they have don't if the child had a bleeding droken leg....

Re: The much loved 15F...brought to life in HO scale

That model, the Red Devil, of course, was either built by Eric Bekker or Eric Tucker. Judging by the overall quality of the model I would lean towards a Eric Bekker build. The price you paid is also indicative of the builder, if you paid more than R7K then it would be a Bekker model.

Re: The much loved 15F...brought to life in HO scale

What does it cost - the eternal question !

Well, you see, I've come to a realization over the last couple of years. There was a time when we made models that I thought other people might like and then tried to sell them on the open market. This came with lots of issues, politics, nastiness, and ...

Re: The much loved 15F...brought to life in HO scale

My only constraint is the availability of a suitable chassis. I must spend spend some time on it.

Re: Breyten Plinthed Loco Flying the Flag!

Maybe I'm too young to be horrified.

Given that the Breyten photograph dates back to 2010 I suspect that the paint job was done in support of the soccer world cup. This means that the loco was painted before 11 June 2010.

....and we only find out and complain about it 18 months later....

Each of ...

Kevin, what would you say would be the best medium to reach those guys. People hate unsolicited email and it is impossible to get hold of their postal addresses.

Re: Scalecraft on Facebook

Hmmm... I'v got a couple of 5E & DZ bodies but I can't say that I've spent any time on it. I am keen to do it though but I do not have enough insight into the chassis & bogeys & couplers that would be appropriate. I have made N scale decals of all our stuff in the hope that somebody out there may ...
