Any clue Barend? Are they not perhaps container flats with 2 x 20' modified containers on the back?

Barend,
The vehicles on the train, is or were old fruit wagons (with sliding doors removed), classification I think is QJ-7s' (subject to correction)! The load is 50kg packaged cement bags, loaded on a pallet and wrapped in plastic to keep the load stable on the pallet!
Roodepoort goods yard handles a lot of traffic like this in recent times. The cement is packaged by Lefrage Cement Works, along Main Reef Road in the Roodepoort area!

Barend!
Some vehicles in the QJ-7's may have stainless steel body-work, as I have had seen a few of them a few weeks back at Roodepoort Goods Yard.
Unless you are refering to the shean off the pallets, then that's the sun reflecting of the plastic packaging, which surround the cement packets on the pallets.
