Class 39-200 launched!

Post by Chris Janisch »

The first newbuild Class 39 diesel, 39-201, has just arrived at Pyramid South. Once again, the intrepid Pyramid Photter was on hand to scoop the shots!
At first glance she looks very similar to the 39-000 rebuilds- just a grey roof distinguishes her.

The main difference is the roof profile - very much an EMD roofline, unlike the 39-000s which don't look quite right to my eyes. The 39-200s are very good lookin' locos.
