John, lovely pic. I love the reflections you've captured so well. Nostalgia says though that true Southern Region trains had those swing-door coaches that made them so recogisable long after the other regions had moved on. This modern British train could be anyone's, anywhere --- even including our "own" Gautrain if it wasn't for the old station building.

No hassles at all, although I read in the railway press about lots of problems and I have posted a few of those news articles in the past. I wasn't a serious photographer spending hours at the end of the platform with big lenses and tripods, just a passenger with a small digital pocket camera taking quick snaps between connections. I did remember to turn off the automatic flash.
