The weather being cold and not conducive to painting, have taken a break and started looking at the base.

Done not like the kit base, so will make my own,and the same time incorporate it in a case.

Pic 1 - The chassis and the kit base (which is quite a bit longer still).
Pic 2 - The chassis with the new base.
Pic 3 - Planning a bit of cork to give it depth.
Pic 4 - Working out rail length.
Pic 5 - Checking against the chassis for fit.
