S A Rails 150th year.

Is Transnet or PRASA going to be celebrating 150 years of rail in South Africa with anything special, or are they going to just let slip by , by ignoring this part of our Heritage? Can anyone shed light on this?

Nope. It appears that there is not much interest - overshadowed by 2010.

Maybe someone will pull something out of the hat at the last moment.

FOTR will be using this year as a celebration of the event on all trains, but there is something planned for june and we will see what transpires. We shall not forget.
