Metrorail congestion at Fish Hoek: Railways Africa

Post by Steve Appleton »

This Railways Africa Magazine article gives an account of the congestion caused at Fish Hoek station by the enforced closure of the line onwards to Simonstown. Metrorail has apprently checked the first part of the track and will run some trains beyond Fish Hoek as far as Glencairn to help relieve the congestion.

At last, I have wondered why the trains did not continue to Glencairn as that part of the line is fine. Then the busses dont need to come into the traffic on main road in Fish Hoek and the bus route would be shorter.
