LNER Poster #9 Camping Coaches.

Here is an interesting poster, displaying a holiday alternative of the '30's that I bet not many people nowadays are aware of....................the camping coach!!!!

Basically in summer the LNER used to deploy camping coaches in the holiday districts that it served. The camping holiday coach was fully equipped and slept 6 people. They rented by the week and at the end of the 1930's cost 2 pound 10 shillings per week all in.

The camping coaches were later followed by another LNER innovation - the Touring Camping Coach. This time you got to move around as well!
