Photo realistic cabs

In line with the MSTS improvements, there are some nice cabs out there - witness this cab for the SD70's - I am running this at lowish resolution for the frame rates - I am running trains, not admiring the cabs!

We've been on the footplate of some of the new 18Es at Capital Park - also very nice.

I had the opportunity once to drive the training simulator at Essalen Park - I was "driving" a pair of 10Es, with 2,000 tons on the back if I remember correctly. Great fun, but also very instructive. The simulator has a computer screen on the console with all sorts of information about gradients, buffer forces, extension and compression of the train, etc, which is very useful. Apparently similar equipment is being fitted to a lot of new and renovated locomotives.

Somewhere I have some photos of the new insides for the 18's - will have a look and post them.
