Another Taxi Accident

A long distance Taxi was involved in a head on collision this morning on the N1 near Leeu Gamka killing 8 people and injuring more. Now if these people were traveling by train , they would have got to their destination safely. The Government must wake up to the importance of long distance train travel in South Africa and invest in the system. The cost of these accidents runs into millions over a year. This money could be going into upgrading of rolling stock and locomotives. Their profit will come into saving peoples lives and the cost of not having these fatal road accidents.
