Trans Oranje

Does any one know why the Shosoloza Meyl (Trans Oranje) CPT-DUR do not run anymore? On there website it only shows "Bridge maintenance" not to sure what that means. On previous journeys the patronage on this train was pretty good, the customer service line staff also can not tell if this train is going to run again. Would certainly be pitty as myself and the family quite enjoyed this route!

Hi

There was small floods in the free state earlyler this year, There was a bridge that washed away either near Van reenen or Harrismith, so Im guessing that or, there is not enough locomotives to operate this train. Yea, and It is a fantastic trip, one of my best routes.

Hi, when the Trans Oranje goes to Cape Town, does it take the Ladysmith-Harrismith branch line to the Free State, or does it continue on the Natal mainline to Newcastle?
