UK: Historic model railway club

Of no general interest whatsoever, but it caught my eye as I used to be a member of the Ilford and West Essex Model Railway Club (IWEMRC) back in the late 1960s and early '70s when I was an Essex boy. Good to see them still going strong.

IWEMRC is thought to be the fourth-oldest model railway club in the world and will be celebrating its 82nd year at the exhibition.

It was founded in Ilford in 1930 when a group of modelling-enthusiasts were brought together.
