What is the future for Dawlish rail line ?

"It's England that's cut off from Cornwall, not the other way round", claims Cornish comedian Kernow King

This Cornish offering is presumably inspired by "An apocryphal British newspaper headline [which] supposedly once read, 'Fog in Channel; Continent Cut Off'. It has also been claimed that this was a regular weather forecast in Britain in the 1930s" (Wikipedia).

New pictures of Dawlish rail breach - 150 years ago!
It's happened before! These pictures show the main rail line at Dawlish when it was battered and breached by storms in October 1865...
