Open Letter to Railway Preservation Groups and Service Providers (attached)

Good day Folks –

The attached letter is addressed to all groups/individuals on the RSSA Natal Branch Extended Mailing List in the hope that it reaches as many of the potential service providers out there who may one day find themselves in Umgeni Steam Railway’s rather unenviable position. Please be warned that whilst we may all share an interest and passion for railways, it would appear that there are some who are unfortunately not quite so honest and ethical as others…

This letter has also been sent to a number of publications in order to reach others who could potentially fall victim to such unfortunate events.

A very unfortunate situation where the good samaritan was the loser.

When we heard at the time how USR had rescued that unfortunate situation we were all very impressed. Very sorry that it has turned out so badly for USR, who were indeed the good samaritans.
