After the visit in Umkomaas we had two "train-free" days. On 7 January we headed on to the Addo Elephant National Park, to watch some wildlife and was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience. Before entering the park, a freight train headed by the class 7E trio E7036, E7153 und E7099 could be seen:

From the Addo Park we proceeded to visit some friends near Knysna, who took us to the Outeniqua Transport Museum in George on 9 January, where quite an impressive collection awaited us:
