Suicide threats man is locked up for causing delays to train services

Of course one feels sympathy towards those tempted to commit suicide, but it is important to recognise the huge impact of suicides on the railway: driver, passengers and those who have to clear up the mess traumatised; police time wasted as it has to be declared a crime scene and investigated; tens of thousands of commuters having their journey disrupted; the huge financial losses caused by the delays.
