Re: RIP Vic Jacka
Vic was indeed a member of FOTR for many years. I worked closely with him on health and safety issues. His expertise in fire-fighting and rescue from his military days was very helpful to FOTR as we formalised our health and safety structures. Vic was also a familiar face on our trains. Even after his illness became severe, he would still ride with us in his high-vis vest whenever he could.
Condolences to Bev and the rest of the family. RIP.

Sorry to read about Vic. Condolences to Bev and family. He will rest peacefully now, but will still be with us on the trains.

Re: RIP Vic Jacka
Today was Vic's funeral. A very nice service held at the Wierda Park Methodist Church saw him laid to rest. FOTR was represented by Mike Haslam, Steve Smith, Jimmy Ross, Tom Macrery and myself. The theme of the service was that Vic lived his life to the full and was not frightened of the future. He is happy where he is now.
Bev has received messages of condolence passed on by myself.
