Koedespoort - shorts

Post by John Ashworth »

The refrigerator van is in very good condition. It has roller bearings and cross braces. Some of the insulation has been stripped out but otherwise the body is good.

I didn't look at the undercarriage on the wooden box van. The body is not too bad.

I believe the cross bracing was fitted as an experiment to extend the benifits of the Scheffel bogie and its method of linking the axles to 4 wheel wagons.
