Any old iron?

Post by John Ashworth »

As part of our advanced planning (very advanced!) for our eventual move to Hercules we made use of a back actor which was on site to load coal into the AY wagons to move some heavy pieces of locomotive from their relatively inaccessible position under the coal stage to a slightly more accessible position where we can get a lorry in when we relocate.

These are amazing machines. Later on the ash heap was levelled out. The next use of such a machine must be at Hercules site.
