The line between Stormberg and Rosmead where double headed 15AR's at one time ruled has been lifted in many areas and this view shows the truncated section at Stormberg, still guarded by a lone colour light signal.

Was the signal working?

I believe they are lifting the line for use in Northern Cape. The lighter track will then we laid here again. Why? Who knows.

The signal was not working as this was part of the CTC that was installed on the East Lomdon main line, now replaced by the track warrent system. All signals have been removed on the main line and I guess they missed this one!
