Sir William Arrol was responsible for the creation of London’s iconic Tower Bridge, the Forth Rail Bridge and stunning engineering feats such as the massive gantry cranes at Harland and Wolf’s shipyard in Belfast, where Titanic was built...

Arrol’s bridges spanned the Nile, the Hawkesbury River, north of Sydney, in Australia, and all those crossing the Manchester Ship Canal...
