Two New Tram Extensions To Strengthen The Rabat-Salé Urban Network

The two extensions of line 2 of the Rabat tramway are now in commercial service. As part of the construction of the 7 km extension for each of the line 2 extensions, Alstom supplied 22 Citadis X02 trams. As a reminder, this order was awarded to it by the Société du Tramway de Rabat-Salé (STRS) in 2017. The 22 new trains whose production of wiring and electrical cabinets was carried out on the Alstom site in Fez, will be added to the 44 trains in circulation since May 2011. Aiming to strengthen the urban network, the two new extensions will thus allow citizens to improve their mobility between Rabat and Salé and offer them a more fluid circulation as well as a living environment resolutely turned towards the future...
