Rail delays after crossing crash

Rail passengers are facing disruption after a train collided with a van which had been abandoned on tracks in Yorkshire overnight.

One passenger was taken to hospital with minor injuries after the crash at a level crossing in Melton, near Hull, just after midnight.

Buses are being used to take passengers between Doncaster and Selby, Howden, Brough and Hull.

All train services to or from Hull and Brough have been cancelled.

Humberside police are trying to trace the owner of the van involved in the crash.
