Re: CPT to PLZ Premier Classe train launching 5 Dec 2008
This is one particular spoornet initiative which I have been following with interest.
The train was initially scheduled to leave on the 5th dec 2008, then it was postponed to the 12th dec.
I recall coming into Cape Town on the metro rail on Sat the 13th and there was a full premier classe set where Spoornet keeps its ready for departure rolling stock(about 300m or so from platform 24). The Joburg train leaves on sat morning I think, and the PE on Fri.
Seeing a full set parked and presumably ready to roll late on a sat afternoon either means Spoornet has extra rolling stock for premier classe, or one of them has not left.
Anybody know if this train is actually running , and if it has run, any pictures?
