Reefsteamers website down - their apologies

Post by Steve Appleton »

The Reefsteamers website has unfortunately crashed and is under repair.
As many of you have noticed, our Reefsteamers website has failed – the hosting environment was changed and the templates are not compatible.

The new website exists but is not viewable to the public yet. Craig Gibson and I are working on the format, which is pretty raw at the moment, and to transfer missing data (especially pictures) that didn’t transfer with the migration scripts. We are using the opportunity to clean things up a bit, simplify the menu structure and reinstate some features. Hopefully the new Joomla upgrades are better coded and more productive – the existing website’s Joomla is a pedantic misery to used.

I’m under the hammer at work after taking a whole week off work to prepare media for the Cherry Festival train, doing fire-lighting and preparation and of course, going along on the trip. So the catch-up + the website repair + new articles = one very busy me. I am currently working on a Reefsteamers trip report but I will forward it to the Sandstone Website and then send the email version as I did for the coaching and the 3052 article. But I’m squeezed for time and can’t promise delivery. The cherry festival photos are flying via the mails though and a photo article covering the #49 Garratt run at Sandstone Estates has already been posted. Go visit their home page for the latest on our recent trip.

Sorry about that
Lee
