- Not perfect, still a bit streaky, and it wouldn't satisfy some of the sterner old Spoornet Section Managers (Leon, where are you?!), but at least the fireman can now see through the window.

- The brake pressure gauge looks a bit more modern than most of the other footplate fittings.

- Fireman's side injector steam valve. The steam pressure gauge can just be seen at the top of this photo, mounted where neither driver nor fireman can see it easily.

- Much of the brass has either been replaced or painted over, but once you start cleaning you find odd bits. This is the driver's side injector water cock.
