Vink

Post by Andreas Umnus »

Here some pictures I took in Vink. They show that there is only the track Robertson - Worcester in use.

The Gospel Train has no connection with the main line anymore (Picture 1)

The second and third picture shows a part of a formely switch. It is interesting that they haven't removed the lever too.

The fourth picture shows the platform (did there ever stop a passenger trian?) und the fifth picture is a closer view to the sign "Vink".

Picture six is a view in the direction of Worcester.

I have stopped there once. I used the tarin from Cape Town to geotge often in the 50s and 60s and only stopped there once to load a passenger. The timetable had a comment that you had to arrange with the staion amster at worcester to get on there. I think the same arrangements were in force for Overhex and Nuy stations
