I expect you have seen the posters going up on Virgin Train stations. They are welcoming photographers to pay them a visit on platforms. Providing you stick to the rules.
NO FLASH... well that's simple, read the instruction book of the camera, it will tell you how to switch it off - anyhow the pictures look more dramatic during daylight hours without the use of flash... at night, don't bother unless you wan't Jobsworth to come along with a big stick. H&S rules must be obeyed.
TRIPODS... they rather not have them around. They do class them as a hazard to the public - invest in a unipod, just as good.
And... of course, no wandering off the platform or swinging from signals. We don't want to see another poster going up saying "not welcomed!"
Good for Virgin. It makes common sense.
