Jacking up the track. This is being done to raise the track level slightly due to poor drainage during rainy season. Many rotten sleepers were eventually replaced.

Just looking at these photos and seeing how much effort, noise and tool requirements are needed to work with sleepers, makes you think how much of this type of equipment and manpower is needed to remove sleepers illegaly for other purposes than railway lines. A-LA Cullinan sleeper theft so professionally done!!
