Description of Incident: Fire Crews release elderly females foot from railway line

At 19:12 on Sunday 18th December Cheltenham fire fighters were called to the railway track to the rear of Pecked Lane, Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham, where an elderly female had her foot stuck in the railway tracks on the pedestrian crossing.

One fire appliance with five firefighters attended the incident along with an ambulance crew. Crews were on scene for 30 minutes releasing the lady's foot from the track. The lady suffered some minor injuries to her ankle and was conveyed to hospital by the ambulance crews.
